The Computer and Me

The computer. My friend, my slave, and my bane. I'm addicted to silicon I suppose. I've had one since third grade (that's 1987 to you). Pardon the digression, but I've also been on the Internet since then also ...  the days of MUDs ( :o). Anyhow, I've been exposed to computers for a long time but I never really fiddled with them until I started college. By sophomore year, I was tweaking my computer left and right. Right now, I'm pretty happy with the setup that I have. I'd like something better but two things are hindering me. One, I don't have the money, and two, something new comes out about every six months.

Anyway, the rest of this page shows the history of my exposure to computers. I'll start off with my current computer and then work from the past on.

Specs: Inwin A500, cCO Celemine II 600@1008 1.8V cooled via 72 Watt peltier mated  to BE Cooling Cu block (w/Artic Silver) and the rest of the watercooling bits from here and there (Temp: -7C to 15C), peltier powered via external 13.8V/7A TrippLite psu, 256MB PC133, Aopen AX6BC, Elsa Erazor X^2(140/380) hooked to Iiyama VisionMaster Pro 17 via DSub to BNC cable and cooled via VIce III Xtreme Cu kit, Seagate 6GB, Fujitsu 20GB, Pioneer 6X DVD and HP 9200 8x4x32 CDRW mated to Initio SCSI card, LS-120, 3Com NIC, ATI TV Wonder, AWE64 Gold attached to Bose Lifestyle 3. Lighting courtesy of blue LEDs and all cables rounded and zipped.
